1871 transcriptions from ACDB's scans
21 February 2005 - 2:27:04am After a few weeks effort, I now have 418 transcriptions of households (plus some individuals' entries) thanks to ArchiveCDBook's excellent scanning of the 1871 Census. It's taken so long partly due to being sidetracked into adding 1861 Census data too, once I'd found their real address in 1871. Next stage will be adding 1851 Census transcriptions, particularly for those families already found in the 1841 & 1861 Censuses. Mark
Photo Gallery
21 February 2005 - 2:17:41am Don't forget too that I have a few hundred photo's of places, churches, chapels and gravestones in and around St Just in Penwith in my Photo Gallery. Use the search box on that page to look for a surname of interest, as I've transcribed the gravestones as well as I can. Mark
1871 Census CDs
4 November 2004 - 1:15:36am ArchiveCDBooks have released the Cornwall 1871 Census imaged on CDs. This comes without an index, although you can of course use the online index at MyTrees.com. I'm therefore ploughing through and adding in my transcription of relevant 1871 entries. See my "Source" list entries for "1871 UK Census scan". Mark
Discussion Forum
24 April 2004 - 10:03:56am I've set up a new discussion forum on this Web site so that we can easily exchange views or ask questions. Mark
