William Spencer TONKIN, son of William TONKIN and Liddy FREEMAN, was killed in action on 4 May 1917 in the same battle as his cousin William Henry Tonkin - - that is, 2nd Battle of Bullecourt. He was a private in the 2nd Battalion. He was a farmer, 30 years old. Since his body was never recovered, he is memorialised on the wall.
