The Argus (Melbourne) Tuesday 26 July 1932 page 6 column 6 OBITUARY. The death of Mr. John Hattam, J.P., occurred at his home in Preston yesterday. He was the founder of the firm of Hattam and Hattam, drapers, of Sale, Daylesford, and Northcote, who have been established in business for 60 years. Mr Hattam was born at St. Just, Cornwall, and he came to Australia in the sailing vessel Cham- pion of the Seas.
