J. Carlisle, M.L.A., chairman Coun- cil of Agricultural Education, presided at the annual closing ceremony at Dookie Agri- cultural College, on January 29. Reports showed that additional accommodation was needed to provide for soldier students. The principal had agreed, at the earnest request of the Repatriation department, to find room for 40 returned soldiers for the future, instead of 20 previously accommodated. The department and soldiers had expressed their appreciation of the special courses de- signed for the returned men. The council, in making appointments to its staff, had given preference to returned soldiers in every instance. An outline was given of the forward policy of agricultural education, de- signed in co-operation with Mr. A. E. V. Richardson.
